I've used the Hiace for a few months as part of my delivery work. The storage space is vast, making it super convenient for transporting large loads. However, the driving experience feels somewhat compromised on longer trips due to the basic comfort level of the seats. That being said, its reliability is top-notch; I haven't encountered any issues despite covering significant mileage weekly.

I've been using the Toyota Hiace for my courier business, and I appreciate its reliable performance and cargo space. The barn door option is a welcome addition as it facilitates loading in tight areas. But unfortunately, the slightly higher price point compared to its competitors might be a consideration.

I’ve driven the Toyota HiAce quite extensively for work over the years. Its reliability stands out; it rarely lets me down. The cargo space is generous. However, the dated internals and lack of modern safety features are noticeable downsides.

Long story short, I use the Hiace mostly for city deliveries, short hops mostly but got stuck in traffic a lot. Not crazy about the driving position, seats aren’t bad but they aren’t great either-back gets a bit tired, I guess. Steering’s light though, which helps when you’re squeezing into loading docks. I’ve had two little electrical things pop up, both fixed quick, wasn’t a big deal. If you want a nice sound system, you’re outta luck-you get the basics and not much else. At least it’s cheap to run. The ride is fine for a van, bumps aren’t killer. It’s not fancy but gets the job done without fuss.

Having driven the Toyota Hiace for a few days, I'd say it has its ups and downs. The removal of the cab-forward layout has definitely improved ergonomics and safety. Its performance, especially when unladen, is surprisingly agile. But the size-it's undeniably wide-can make navigation in tight city spots a challenge. Also, the key-start mechanism felt slightly out of touch with modern standards, though functional. On the bright side, the hard plastic interiors seem built to last. In terms of commercial vehicles, it holds up well against rivals.
